The Edison Realty Group has been continuously in the construction, management and development business in the Toronto area and the U.S.A. for over 80 years, having started in 1934.

The principals are Victor and David Shields, who were born and raised in Toronto and operate under the umbrella name of The Edison Group.

Since its inception, The Edison Group has been responsible for the construction, ownership and management of multiple tenancy buildings, shopping centers, commercial and industrial buildings (1.5 million sq. ft.), the construction and sale of many thousands of single family residences and the development, servicing and sale of over 5,400 acres, having in current dollars a retail value of $1.35 billion dollars. The Group has also also constructed, developed and operated two golf courses in north Toronto which were eventually subdivided into residential lots.

The Group's main business activities today are more focused in the US with ownership of many "stand alone" leased properties in various locations including Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Virginia, New Jersey and North Carolina. The future objective is to continue to locate and purchase new NNN properties in the U.S.A. and Canada.
